Gun - July 1989
Gun are a rock band from Glasgow, Scotland.
Formed in 1987 by Giulianno Gizzi, they released four albums between 1989 and 1997, and achieved mainstream success with their cover of Cameo’s ‘Word Up!’ from their 3rd album ‘Swagger’. The band split in 1997 after their 4th album failed to sell as well as previous albums.
In 2008, Gun reformed, minus their singer Mark Rankin who works for Mercury Records in London. Former Little Angels frontman Toby Jepson was hired to replace Mark Rankin, and they released the ‘Popkiller’ EP in 2009. In June 2010 Toby Jepson left the band and bassist Dante Gizzi took over as the bands singer. After finishing their summer tour of 2011 playing at various festivals, Gun are set to enter the studio to record a new album
